About me

I am Ajay Sunder . An analyst , an observer and inquisitive admirer of the Digital Transformation landscape across APAC. Over the last 14 years, I have worked with some of the leading telecom operators, regulators and government bodies in the region. I have also led some key strategic consulting projects on market entry strategy, new services/product roadmap for some of the leading telecom operators/vendors in the region. I have worked in the Investment side, Research /Advisory side which gives me good exposure to the ICT trends across the regions from the North Asian markets of Japan, Korea, Taiwan to ANZ to the booming South East Asian economy. I have also been frequently featured in leading media, namely Bloomberg,, CNBC, BBC, Channel News Asia, Singapore Business Times and Straits Times for my opinions/views on trends in the APAC markets. In my previous role I was the Vice President for Frost & Sullivan’s Digital Transformation team – Responsible for the ICT Research and Consulting services across the APAC region. Prior to Frost & Sullivan, I worked as Investment Manager with New Zealand Trade & Enterprise , the economic development agency for New Zealand in promoting investments in ICT sector and raising Capital for the New Zealand tech start-ups. I have earned my Bachelor of Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, and MBA from the Indian Institute of Management – Calcutta, India. I am also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst ( CAIA). I hope this blog can be a gateway to understand the Digital Transformation trends across APAC. I also trade Options as a Retail investor and keep sharing my views on what the Technology stocks mean and my view - short term and long term .
